Asmita Basu

She is working as an Assistant Professor (Finance) at AIMK since March 2017. She has completed B.Sc. Maths (H) from Calcutta University and MBA (Finance Major) from WBUT. She is a registered Ph.d scholar at NIT, Durgapur. Her area of specialization is Finance. She has six years of teaching experience in reputed B-schools in Kolkata and also one year of industry experience. Her interest areas are portfolio management, investment management, derivatives, heritage management. She has presented a number of research papers at different International conferences held in Jordan(WAC,2013),SiemReap(IPPA,2014),Stockholm (EASAA,2014) , Cardiff (EASAA, 2016) , IIM-Calcutta, Aliah University, Visva Bharati University etc. She has also been invited by Université Paris Ouest - Nanterre La Défense to chair a session at the International conference held in Paris (2015). She has been awarded with the Endowment fellowship from the University of Calcutta in the year 2014 & 2015. She has published a number of research papers in various national and international journals & conference proceedings.
