Foundation Day 2013

Foundation Day was celebrated at Army Institute of Management on 26 July, 2013.

The event started at 2 p.m. After the arrival of The Director Major Gen. Dr. S.C.Jain (Retd.) Sir, the event started with Saraswati Vandana performed by Moumita Banerjee, Chetna Khalia and Subarna Chaterjee with Varsha Prasad playing the guitar.

Saraswati Vandana was followed by a brief introduction of our college history by Abhyoday Upadhyay and Himneet Rai, the hosts of the event.

After this, it was time for the candle lightning ceremony by our Director Sir and the other faculty members. After which Director Sir addressed the students. In his short speech he mentioned how the current market scenario is tough and how the students should acquire skills to survive the competition. He also shared his views and ideas about his experiences.

Director Sir’s speech was followed by Sushmita Bhattacharjee’s classical fusion dance on a western track which was followed by a group song by Moumita, Sarita, Neelu, Duke, Avinash and Priyanka accompanied by Anirban and Varsha on the guitar. After which one of the host Himneet Rai briefly gave an insight about the events hosted by AIMK. This was followed by a solo performance by Varsha Prasad.

Varsha’s performance was followed by a comic skit based on the Hospital Management in India.

Finally there was an energetic Bhangra to mark the end of the 16th Foundation Day Celebration at AIMK.
