The Army Institute of Management Kolkata (AIMK) organized a two-day Personality Development Programme (PDP) on February 8th and 9th, 2024 for 40 personnel from the Indian Coast Guard. This event, characterized by collaborative efforts, was crafted to instill leadership qualities, enhance communication proficiency, and cultivate effective time management skills. Through interactive sessions, insightful case studies, and stimulating activities, participants were empowered to reach new heights of personal and professional growth.

The 75th Republic Day was a momentous occasion at our institution, adorned with vibrant celebrations that resonated with patriotic fervor. The day commenced with the ceremonial unfurling of the tricolor by our esteemed Principal, Dr. Abhishek Kumar, setting the tone for a day filled with pride and enthusiasm.

Agomoni is a significant occasion in Bengali culture. It marks the beginning of the Devi Paksha. The most famous Mahalaya program is the "Mahishasura Mardini’’. The narration is a portrayal of the goddess Durga as she prepares to battle the demon Mahishasura. The enchanting recitation, combined with soul-stirring music, dance creates a unique and spiritual atmosphere, Agomoni sets the tone for the grand celebration of Durga Puja, one of the most significant festivals in the Bengali calendar.

Diwali, the festival of lights, is celebrated with great enthusiasm and fervor at the Army Institute of Management Kolkata. The institute, known for its disciplined and spirited environment, transforms into a vibrant hub of festivities during this auspicious occasion. At AIMK, Diwali preparations begin months in advance. Student work together to decorate the entire campus with colourful rangolis, diyas and bright lights. The goal is to create an ambiance that reflects the festival's enthusiasm and brightness.

During auspicious celebration of “Danteras” in AIMK; we honoured Lieutenant Navdeep Singh Bains, a decorated soldier in the Indian Army and alumni of Army Institute of Management(MBA -11) awarded with Ashoka Chakra, India's highest military decoration for valour, for his extraordinary acts of courage and selflessness in the line of duty. Born in a small village in Punjab(Gurudaspur), Navdeep Singh turned off corporate job to become a gentlemen cadet at the Officers Training Academy. On March 19, 2011 he was commissioned into the Army Ordnance Corps.

Army Institute of Management invited Dipankar Banerjee to give students some industry brief on Emotional Intelligence, with over 35 years of expertise in Management Development and HR across diverse industries such as FMCG, consumer durables, heavy engineering, petroleum products, advertising and media, Dipankar Banerjee transitioned into a role as a full-time consultant and executive coach.

The Kolkata International Film Festival (KIFF) is an annual film festival held in Kolkata, West Bengal. The festival aims to showcase the best of national and international cinema, providing a platform for filmmakers from around the world to exhibit their work. It includes various sections such as competitions, tributes, retrospectives, and special screenings. The festival screens a diverse range of films, including feature films, short films and documentaries.

EAD 2023 - Entrepreneurship Awareness Drive 2023 was organised on 11/10/23 by Bhawanipur Education Society in collaboration with NSHM Knowledge Campus and E-Cell IIT Kharagpur. A contingent of 10 students from our institute from MBA batch 2023-2025 attended the EAD 2023 at Dhono Dhanyo Auditorium. The event was remarkable opportunity for our budding entrepreneurs to gain insights, network with industry expert and enhance their innovative ideas.
