Abhilash Acharya

Prof. Abhilash Acharya has pursued his PhD in Strategic HRM from IIM Ranchi and is currently associated with AIM-Kolkata. He offers courses on Organizational Strategy, HRM, Industrial Relations, Labour & Business Laws, Human Resource Development, Corporate Coaching & Leadership, Performance Management Systems and Cross-Cultural Management. He won several academic accolades (Master’s Gold Medal in Management, Best PG Research Project, Medal for Academic Brilliance in E&I Engineering among others) and his research interests include Knowledge & Information Management, Strategy, Organizational Change & Development, Social Network Theory, CSR, behavioural aspects of Marketing, etc. He has published academic papers in high-impact, peer-reviewed international journals (ABDC-A*, A; ABS-3+ categories). Additionally, he has presented his research at prestigious international conferences like Academy of Management (AOM) Annual Conference, Asia Academy of Management – ICOM, Australia & New Zealand Academy of Management (ANZAM) Annual Conference, etc. and at different venues like University of Sydney, University of Wollongong, University of Latvia, Abu Dhabi University, IIM Ahmedabad, MDI Gurgaon, BITS Pilani among others. Abhilash's professional experience spans across 5+ years – he has previously worked on a couple of research-oriented engagements with national & international organizations like Mitsubishi Chemical Corporation, SGS S.A., Indian Oil and WB State Handloom Weavers' Co-operative Society Ltd. He has been an independent consultant focused on revival of tribal art & craft, heritage restoration, industrial infrastructure, education, sustainable livelihoods and rural development. He is also an advisor-mentor to a number of business entities with interests in textiles, electronics, transportation & logistics, mining, real estate, etc.
