On 21st February 2020, we as secular Indians celebrated International Mother Language day in remembrance of the martyrs who sacrificed their lives for their mother tongue in Bangladesh in 1952.
Students presented the diversity in our country through various cultural performances depicting the different cultures in India. The event was started with melodious songs in Punjabi and Bengali. Dance performances were presented to depict Rajasthani, Assamese, Pahadi, Nepali and Punjabi cultures. A special reward was also awarded to three performances namely Rajasthani, Assamese and Nepali Dance Performances. The event was highlighted by a special performance by our Faculty – Professor Deblina Chatterjee. The event was wrapped up by a wonderful speech by our Director – Maj Gen A. K. Sapra – on the Matri Bhasha Divas and importance of multilingualism.
